A site-specific work made for a large commercial space in Bloomfield Stadium, Tel Aviv, awaiting rental.

The work consists of two ceiling lamp shades, one made of stone and the other of glass, used water bowls. In each floated a photograph, which gradually dissolved until the image disappeared from it, leaving photo material fragments in it’s bottom and photographic paper still floating.

One photograph was a self-portrait, and the other a landscape photograph from Auschwitz. Both were shot with my camera during a highschool memorial trip to Poland in 2001.

On their back, the printed date of the self-portrait was September 9th, and on the Auschwitz image was September 11th, 2001.

Both bowls were transfered back to the studio to complete their dissolving process.
