A 12-minute score unfolding in three scenes in a space sealed off from natural light.

a. A yellow fluorescent tube is lit in the patio’s south-west corner. A mother and her ten-month-old son play by its light. The baby tries to reach the tube and his mother prevents him.

b. The father comes out of the audience and unplugs the fluorescent tube. The space is completely dark. The only light comes from audience cameras.

c. The family walks from the patio down the corridor. The mother and father take turns carrying the baby, trying to put him to sleep, walking back and forth and humming a melody. A white LED is lit. The three approach it and touch it, their backs to the audience.

End.
